About Mehrnoosh
Mehrnoosh (Maria) Pezeshk is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a Canadian Certified Counsellor. She provides individual therapy for youth, young adults, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, ADHD related concerns, identity and belonging concerns, and major life transitions.

Mehrnoosh’s approach is warm, collaborative, culturally responsive, and trauma informed. She believes therapy works best when clients feel safe, understood, and actively involved in their own healing. Her goal is to create a supportive space where clients can explore their experiences, understand patterns, build emotional regulation skills, and move toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for them.

Mehrnoosh uses an integrative approach, drawing from EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, expressive arts therapy, and somatic informed therapy. This allows her to tailor sessions to each client’s needs, whether they are hoping to process painful experiences, reduce emotional overwhelm, strengthen relationships, improve coping skills, or reconnect with their sense of self.

Her clinical work is rooted in evidence-based modalities, including:
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
- Somatic Therapy

- IFS (Internal Family Systems)

- DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)

- Narrative Therapy

- Motivational Interviewing
- Expressive arts therapy

Mehrnoosh thoughtfully tailors her approach to each client’s needs and goals, fostering resilience, insight, and stronger connections with self and others.
